Yin Yoga is a replenishing stretch practice that focuses on restoring the body and calming the mind by targeting those difficult to open areas like the hips and spine, and holding poses for one to five minutes. All stretches are seated. No headstands or handstands:) This gentle practice is both restorative and rehabilitative for the joints and muscles, especially the back and knees, and is beneficial to both the totally inflexible newcomers and seasoned practitioners alike.
