Sivananda is a style of yoga created by the guru Swami Sivananda, with a set series of 12 yoga postures, each with increasing levels of depth and difficulty, great for the beginner all the way to the advanced yogi. This class works through the 12 main postures, melding full-bodied strengthening yoga postures with guided meditation to deepen our connection with the body and the mind. Postures are held for longer to cultivate a quiet mind and generate a feeling of equanimity.
