I have been practicing yoga for over 30 years and now I teach for the past 3 years at a local gym and at a martial arts studio. I want to pass along helpful ways to stay balanced in mind, body and spirit therefore I integrate other alternatives into my yoga classes such as tapping, acupressure points, rubbing and exercises that prevent difficulties with wrists, knees and hip. I focus on a slower type of yin yoga for my students who have difficulties with hips and knees. I am an Registered Nurse who strengthens her practice with Therapeutic Classes recently attending an 8 hour class on Yoga for Therapeutic Rehabilitation: Tools to Expand Practice of Yoga along with Silver and Fit instructor training and the National Exercise Training Association certification in yoga. I have also taken 2 weekend retreats; one recently on Qigong and yoga and another Yoga retreat Vinyasa Yoga.
